I almost always wear stretchy pajama pants and a soft t-shirt to bed. In the summer I’ll wear shorts, sometimes a tank top, but I am not big on nightgowns/chemises/dress-type things for sleeping. It just seems like they’d bunch up around my waist. Plus, I like my legs to be in separate pantlegs for sleeping.
However, sometimes I’m tempted to get one of these Lanz of Salzburg things because A) I think the print is cute even though they’re hilariously unflattering, and B) I remember my mom wearing things like this to bed and it cracks me up, because at the time she wouldn’t have been too terribly much older than I am right now and these are the pajamas of someone easily twice that age.
(I am laughing to myself as I’m writing this because I can just see Daniel shaking his head at me once he reads my secret plans for buying an Austrian muu-muu to wear to bed.)
They just look so Christmasy and cozy! Gah! I have a feeling I’m going to regret posting this in the morning but right now I would like a Lanz of Salzburg nightgown for the holiday season.
File Under: Personal
My grandma had a closet full of these. Never knew they actually had a real name, LOL!
