What A Year For A New Year

:note: HP and the Chamber of Secrets DVD

It is that time of the year again, when we all look back on the last year and try to determine if it was a good year or not. There is some sort of meme going around Teh Internets where you look up the first post from each month and write down the first sentence of each. I’ve read some that were extraordinarily insightful to the person’s year, and I thought about trying it for myself but the results were so hilariously boring that I almost don’t even want to post them. They’ll be under a cut later on, mostly for my own amusement. I posted about my napping habits, for goodness’ sake.

Several somewhat life-changing events have occurred this year – Daniel and I both turned 21, we went on a real road trip with friends, I had my first real drink in Canada over Spring Break (and it was gross), I got a real job, and I graduated from college.

I think one of the most important things that’s happened to me is that I’ve found a new appreciation for my family. My mom has practically become my best friend, I actually get along with my brothers, and over this Christmas I learned that my cousins have a lot of valuable life experience I can learn from. It hadn’t crossed my mind before – they’ve had first jobs and first houses and all those experiences already and it just hadn’t occurred to me.

I would like to say thank you to all of you who stuck with me through these past few years. All of my awful posts about school and classes and my freaking out about everything… and now I’m done! I really appreciate all the support.

I hope all of your holiday festivities went well, and I’m sorry I didn’t address you all personally but I really wish the best for you. (P.S. Thanks to Elea for the lovely Christmas card! So nice of you! I promise to write back soon-ish. Like Tuesday, maybe.)

Anyway, here’s to 2007 and all it has to offer. :D Cheers!

Meggan’s Hilariously Boring Yet Somehow Strangely Appropriate Year-End Meme

January: I love you guys.
February: I had an interesting dream last night.
March: So.
April: I’m home!
May: They wouldn’t let me give blood today.
June: I apparently just took a four to five hour nap.
July: Hello all!
August: Today I had to get up early after staying up late.
September: Daniel and I just got home (1:45am) from hanging out with Callie, Paul, and their friend George at a bar.
October: It’s no secret that I didn’t get along with my brothers growing up.
November: Thanks for all the well-wishes, everybody!
December: You know what I just learned?

See? Hahahahahaha.
