Platypus

:note: nothing

You know what I just learned? A platypus is generally smaller than a housecat.

(The website is in frames – LAME – so click on “facts” in the left nav.)

See?

I always envisioned a platypus being about the size of a medium to large sized dog. About the size of a collie? An Australian Kelpie? A decent sized animal. But no! They are only about 45-60cm long. Cat sized.

I had no idea. I was thinking they’d be about three to five feet long. Weird.

Hooray for blog posts about platypuses (platypi?)! They are indeed strange animals, I blogged about them myself a while ago. Many weird and wonderful mammals we got in Australia. :good:

That’s crazy about the PPs. I wound up reading that whole site (almost) at work today. The author has some really bad grammar in some places grammar is bad grammar.

Oh, and Meggan, you’ve got a lot of wood there, maybe you should get that checked out at webmd… definitely not natural.

Wow, I never knew that… Learn something new everyday, I guess! :good:
