Hello Again
Grave Digger – “Valhalla”
My unexpected break from this site has been sort of nice. After Sunday, I just couldn’t think of anything to write about. I sat down and started a hundred different entries but they were all obnoxiously emo and I was just annoying myself so I figured I would have annoyed others as well and I deleted all of them. 99% didn’t even make it to draft stage, they were that bad. I’ve just felt down for quite a while. There’s really not a good way to explain it; the only thing I’ve come up with is that it feels like you have a Dementor following you around all the time, hovering just close enough to make you feel awful but not so close that you’re in danger of losing your soul. (See? I told you it was emo.) I started feeling a little bit better than normal a day or so ago, but I was busy and still couldn’t think of anything to talk about.
So what have I been doing this week? I figured out what classes I’m going to take next term and I think I’m deciding against an internship. There’s a place that wants me, they’ve contacted me about it, but they’re not in Portland and I just don’t think I can swing it while I’m still in school. It’s far enough away that I would definitely have to get a car (or move and then get a car to commute back to school) and I just don’t think I’m up for it. The car, the commute, the time wasted on the commute… I don’t know. But I’ve not signed up for one so… ehh. I just need to remember to register this time around. (After typing that sentence, I spent over a half an hour trying to find the post in which I described forgetting to register until late in the afternoon on registration day, but I can’t find it, so that was what happened. I completely spaced that I should have registered that morning.)
I did end up purchasing the books I talked about for my independent study and I received one in the mail yesterday. I read over it and it seemed really good, so I’ve been trying to come up with exercises and activities I could do for next term based on some of the examples in the book. I’m really excited about it – it’s going to be all CSS and web standards and accessibility and so far I think I will love it.
I poured a bowl of cereal yesterday morning without remembering we ran out of milk the night before. Lame. Then I had a day-old bagel with peanut butter and some fruit snacks for lunch, and then I didn’t eat again until Callie, Paul, Ryan, Daniel and I went to this restaurant downtown called The Roxy. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and avacado inside and some french fries. It was delicious and was just what I wanted. I was about ready to kill someone by the time I got it though – I was so grouchy.
What else? Daniel’s been obsessively watching old episodes of Whose Line Is It Anyway? on YouTube. Colin Mochrie is my favorite character.
Anyway, that’s what’s been going on with me. How has your week been?

My week as been busy. Training for this new resteraunt job and studying for all these crazy tests I have to take. Hopefully it will be all worth it once I start making some money. A B.S in science and still waiting tables
Glad you are feeling better. I want to take your class I have had a horrible week and still feeling a bit down. Classes are kicking my ass and I have had some really bad luck ever since breaking a mirror. Hopefully things will start looking up soon.
