I Am A Nice Pretty Girl

:note: Ben Folds Five – “Brick”

[edit]
For anyone searching for help about this email, IT IS SPAM. Spam spam spam. Don’t reply to it.

I was initially so weirded out by it because I use Gmail and it somehow ended up in my inbox instead of the spam folder. After sending it to the spam folder, I discovered that another, similar message had correctly ended up in the spam folder. So all is well, and you should “report as spam” if you’ve got Gmail.
[/edit]

I received a rather suspicious email in my inbox this morning, and um, you should tell me what to do about it. Because I’m afraid. I am 99.9% positive it is harmless spam, but, ah, yeah:

Rigoberto <mpdlqmtguwrbq@dialup.com.ar>

Do not ignore me please,
I found your email somewhere and now decided to write you. I am coming to your place in few weeks and thought we can meet each other. Let me know if you do not mind. I am a nice pretty girl. Don’t reply to this email. Email me direclty at xktfo@uwriteme.info

Help.

Uhhhh…..thats kind of creepy. But I think I would go with your guess of it being spam. I get stupid e-mails like that sometimes, so I just ignore them. I do love your site by the way, very well done :).

    Peace Out!

Unless you have your address listed publicly on the internet, I would say that’s just another spam e-mail. Spammers are getting more and more creative these days, it seems…

I’ve gotten some just like that. Spammers are creepy!

    Hi Megan in Oregon,

Greetings from Canada. I have received two such e-mails in the last two days. I’m a guy and wouldn’t respond … suggest you ignore.

Apart from being illiterate, the two I received suggest they’re gay.

    Cheers, … and study hard.

    Hi Megan and party,

I found your site searching for answers re similar emails. These are obvioulsy from non-English speakers and there is no way they know where I am to visit. What is really puzzling is what they or the spammers in general are trying to, and can actually, accomplish by such emails.

    Good luck at school.

I have received already two mails like that. I think the only purpose of such mails is to get a confirmation that your e-mail account is active. So if you reply you will have some extra spam. Also, these “nice pretty” girls my try to borrow some cash from you.

I just got almost the same email , so I google it and found your site, this is how it looked like:

    Hello my dear friend,
I was looking through the web few weeks ago and found
your profile. Now I decided to email you to get to know
you better. I am coming to your country in few weeks
and thought may be we can meet each other. I am pretty
looking girl. I am 25. Do not reply to this address
directly. Email me back at jf@uwriteme.info

thanks very much for posting this email –
i have been recieving similar for the past few days and have become very worried about them (due to a previous experience with a stalker – these emails had the same flavor in my mind).

    just got another one:

i am here sitting in the internet caffe. Found your email and
decided to write. I might be coming to your place in 14 days,
so I decided to email you. May be we can meet? I am 25 y.o.
girl. I have a picture if you want. No need to reply here as
this is not my email. Write me at uemr@uwriteme.info

    the email came from:
    nnvxvelmnekb@cnn.com
    I guess he’s faking it.
thats why he’s asking to email him at another address.
there has to be a way to complain and give his real email address.

I googled the email adress and came to your site.

Whoever is spamming people should first go to school. Most likely though we are dealing here with OC.

Whatever you do, don’t answer these emails.

    Just ignore these criminals!
