Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
I’ve uploaded a bunch of photos I took last summer to my Flickr account in case anybody’s interested. I think they’re fun. They’re some of the photos I took of graffiti while trying to find an acceptable one to use for the making of my own font. I chose the one called Inept because it was easiest to extract the whole alphabet out of. The font turned out sort of crap because I didn’t have enough time to spend adjusting the kerning (space between letters), but the whole process was pretty neat.
I’ve spent most of the day trying to build out a design for a website for my class on Thursday. I’ve got a week to do it, which is completely possible (difficult, but possible). However, now I have to code a text-based Tamagotchi-like pet game for that nightmare of a class I have on Friday that makes me hate life. It gives me a headache to think about. The buildout is so much more lovely to work on. So much less stress-inducing. I believe I may have an aneurysm before this term is over.
The design is actually a redesign of the Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue site. Go check it out – if you’re on Firefox, it’ll look sad and broken. If you’re using IE, it’ll look fine because IE is lame and will render poor code to look acceptable. Anyway, the design (even when functioning properly) isn’t very good, and ours is awesome and I’m excited about it. So there. :dork:
I found a totally awesome make-your-own “plastic blocks that rhyme with Eggos” person generator thing. I made one that looked like me, and then one that looked like Hermione and I found it hilarious. You can make your own too!
My left-handed ctrl key is not functioning. Or, rather, it only functions if you put your full body weight on it to press it down. This makes copy-pasting EXTREMELY difficult, as one hand must now press down the other ctrl key while the the first hand hits the accompanying letter key. I totally need a new keyboard.

Daniel just sent me this video of a lady who “paints” with sand. It is amazing.
