Inauguration On Two Accounts
Radiohead – “Fitter, Happier”
Since today is the dawn of another Bush era , I figured it would be appropriate to post a few pertinent links.
Did you hear the one about the guy who believes abortions are the reason for the Social Security “crisis.” *dies* Yeah. Not only is that ridiculously stupid, there’s an awesome article in the latest Rolling Stone issue about the supposed Social Security “crisis” that doesn’t really exist, and how GWB is actually making it much worse.
There’s also the page with the Barbara Walters interview (and some poignant pictures):
“Walters: But was it worth it if there were no weapons of mass destruction? Now that we know that that was wrong? Was it worth it?”
“Bush: Oh, absolutely.”
Mmm-hmm. So worth it. Being wrong was worth 1530 people’s lives (so far). Thanks, Mr. President.
I thought of an awesome domain name, one that’s actually another one of my nicknames, but one probably nobody knows but my bestest cousin Kalena. :happyheart: I’ve heard that Yahoo domain registration services are pretty awesome, and their domains only cost about $5/year as opposed to $8/year like everyone else, so I went with them, just for fun. Besides, aredhel (formerly of astarae.net) uses it, so why can’t I? I intend to use it for portfolio purposes, because I love oipom.com dearly, but it’s my personal site. Personal. Not that this new one is terribly professional, but it’s brand new and has no baggage.
I’ll post the URL later, once the domain has propagated sufficiently and once I have it forwarding somewhere.
I got my clothes from AE today! I :redheart: them. Here are some images of them, all from ae.com:
I also took some pictures :camera: today/yesterday:
This is Ben Hengst, the supercool programmer guy. He’s awesome. However, I couldn’t get him to sit still or make a normal face.
Again, he kept making faces.
This is Jeremy. I don’t know exactly how to spell his name, but he’s nice. He just admitted today that he thinks he might be ready for marriage, and that freaks him out. He’s 23. Sorry about the fuzziness – none of the ones I took of him were clear.
I didn’t get any pictures of Keith, and I’m not entirely sure why.
This is me… I like this picture.
