New Bronze Shoes
I found these at Ross this weekend and I totally love them:
They’re bronze ballet flats by Seychelles. I tried to find them online so I could link to them, but Zappos didn’t know what I was talking about and I went through 30+ pages of search results on some other site with no luck, so I am resigned to assume they are not available online. Sad.
I’ve been slowly but surely updating my wardrobe to look a little less “schlubby 8th grader” and a little more “I work in an office where I see other people on a daily basis.” I have started with earrings, scarves, and cute shoes and it seems to be going well so far.

Aww… Don’t make fun, I like my socks! Yeah, they’re black with pink argyle patterns up the side. My pants are long enough that you never see them (except for this photo, I guess). In my defense, I do have a plain black pair as well. Or is it the black that’s the problem?
(It is so obvious that I do not know how to dress myself.)
I think the Vogue book of etiquette says you don’t get to wear socks at all, you should wear nylons. Unless socks in pumps are in, of course, but that was last year, so. Of course, Vogue doesn’t live where it’s cold or doesn’t ever have to go outside so screw Vogue and just wear socks. I was making fun of the pattern because it seems to adorable to me that you still wear those <3 But I feel bad about it now, I didn’t mean to rain on your new shoe parade
Okay, now I’m laughing at the thought of me wearing big woolen socks with dressy pumps.
This is not like that, I promise. They’re not dressy, or pumps, and the socks are thin. And cute. Cute socks.
I did that whole update the wardrobe thing when I got a real job. Now if I wear anything remotely smart it gets twisted and they all start asking me who I am trying to impress, hehe. I like slobbing around in my jeans!!
Maybe I should think about doing that sometime soon, too. (Updating clothing style from high school thrift store queen to someone who works in an office downtown) … Nah…
I’m jealous of anyone that can wear those little slip-on ballet style shoes, my narrow feet just flop right out of them. I need straps coming from all directions just to keep them on. That’s why I mostly wear Converse or flip flops. But these look super cute on you!
