The One With The Cute Kids

:note: Type O Negative – “World Coming Down” :ton:

Jennifer from kiss-my-kitty.com (Thanks Jenn!) tried to help me fix my database, but to no avail. I’m going to try to see if my host has any backups that might have the missing .frm files that it says it needs.

Today we went to visit a friend of Sharon’s that lives in Gresham, and her five grandkids (!) were all there. Daniel and Paul and I played with them for a looong time. I took a bunch of pictures and a few videos with my camera. The videos, though, I (for some reason) recorded them all holding the camera vertically, and I don’t think you can change that once it’s recorded, so um, you have to watch all the videos with your head turned sideways. I don’t know what my problem was.

All of these pictures are of one of the little girls, Christina (no idea how to spell her name, I’m guessing this is right?) because she played the longest and absolutely HAMS IT UP for the camera, and because she was the only one longboarding when I had the camera out. Her dad was saying he doesn’t think a candid shot of her even exists. She’s five years old and incredibly funny. I hadn’t seen her in probably over a year, but when we pulled up and I got out of the car, she was outside and yelled “HI MEGGAN!” so she obviously remembered me. She’s cute. Daniel’s so cute when he plays with little kids. He took her longboarding around the cul-de-sac, so there are some pictures :camera: of that too.

Daniel was tying a jump rope around his head for some reason. He looks very tribal. He’s wearing the Trogdor shirt I got him :)

Daniel and Christina.

Hamming it up for the camera. Again, she’s hilarious.

Still posing for the camera while longboarding…

Daniel and Christina longboarding around the cul-de-sac. He probably did this with her for over a half an hour.

One of the videos is actually right side up (and it’s pretty funny) so I’ll post that in a minute. I’m waiting for it to upload. It’s only about 3MB so it shouldn’t take too long to download (especially if you’re on a fast connection) but I’m trying to upload it on dial-up. :sarc: I know, I know, an Internet addict with the most antiquated form of Internet there is. I will get faster Internet when I move out of here. I will I will I will. I shall edit this post in a bit.

Something I forgot to say earlier is that the boys were playing football (Christina has older twin brothers, about age 8) and Daniel and Paul were messing around, and Paul tackled Daniel. Here is a picture of Paul:

Paul tackled Daniel and they spun around and fell over, and his knee went right into the side of Daniel’s calf, a little above his ankle. Paul weighs a little under 300 pounds. Paul’s 300 pounds went flying knee-first into Daniel’s leg. It started bruising almost immediately afterward and it even scratched him so he bled a little. He was limping for part of the day until he finally took some Advil. He says it hurts. It’s still kind of puffy, and it happened at probably 12:30 or 1pm today. He says it’s kind of a dull pain that goes down into the bottom of his foot, and if he sits wrong, it goes all the way from his foot to his hip. Talk about a football injury…

[edit: I fixed the movie link so it’ll work now. Sorry. I had the URL wrong.]
