Ouchie

:note: Kataklysm – “In Shadows And Dust”

For most of the evening, my face has been kind of hurt-y. I wasn’t sure what was up, because my teeth were mostly what was aching and I’m sort of used to the feeling of my teeth trying to move around a bit. I’d assume it’s the same feeling that people with braces get when they’re tightened, but to a much lesser degree. Anyway, it was not only my teeth, but kind of my cheekbones and jaw that were aching as well, which is a bit unusual for me.

I couldn’t figure out what was going on. If I was chewing something or clenching my teeth or otherwise putting pressure on them, they didn’t hurt nearly as bad. However, I am not going to just sit here and eat for hours on end because my teeth are hurting.

Finally, Daniel figured it out. Since I have a cold, it’s probably my sinuses acting up. A sinus “headache,” if you will. My head certainly fucking aches. I took two Excedrin and they don’t seem to have helped in the slightest.

I almost died trying to take the first stupid pill too. The pills are gigantic. I took it with water, but I poured too much into my mouth and swallowed a bit of the water to begin with, and then instinctively swallowed the pill with the remainder of the water, which was practically nothing after the first gulp. The pill got caught in my throat and I made this horrible choking-to-death gag-cough noise and it finally started to go down. Ugh. It was horrible. I was scared I was really going to gag and then throw up but fortunately that didn’t happen. I took no chances with the second pill though – I broke it in half. I still sort of choked on the first half but the second one was okay.

I am so boring. “My face hurts. I took medicine. Face still hurts.” :sneer:

Oooh, is it a sinus infection? Last quarter, I took neuroanatomy, and learned that sinus infections can be very serious if you don’t take antibiotics for them, because they’re one of the few ways that viruses can get to you brain. The moral of the story is, if it’s a sinus infection, don’t wait a month before going to the doctor for antibiotics.
