I got my check in the mail yesterday, for working the portfolio show. I made $43 and they paid me $7.25/hour! I thought I was only making $7.05! :money: Yay! I’m running really low on money because my new loan still has to be processed and that won’t happen for a bit yet, so I’ve been trying to not buy anything. And that sucks because basically the only thing I buy is food. I’m serious. My online bank statement thing is like, “Fred Meyer, Whole Foods, Fred Meyer, Pizza Schmizza, Whole Foods, Whole Foods, Whole Foods, Fred Meyer…” etc. I wouldn’t have to buy food every other day if I had a decent refrigerator and freezer, not to mention cabinets or something that I could store food in. :grumbly:

I haven’t said anything before now, because it was a surprise, but Daniel went back to Sandpoint for the weekend for his mom’s birthday. Since Sharon was here in Portland for her birthday, Heidi wanted to throw her a surprise birthday party the weekend after, and wanted Daniel to come up for it. So he left Thursday afternoon. :( I was lonely, so I went over to Callie’s last night and played Super Smash Brothers and actually WON a couple of times, using Kirby. I love Kirby! I need a Kirby smiley. kirby OOH or a Kirby BLOCK for my guestblock! So yeah, I miss Daniel a lot. :ack: He won’t be back until Monday morning. That’s another TWO WHOLE DAYS (well, today and tomorrow) and TWO NIGHTS until I see him again. I tried calling him earlier today but nobody picked up.

My family is back from their weeklong vacation to Washington D.C. and New York City. Lots of things happened, namely the fact that they got bumped from their original flight and ended up getting three free round-trip passes to anywhere in the US and got to fly 1st class when they did finally get a flight. And they got free food too. It almost happened to them again on the way home, but they would’ve had to stay the night in Denver and they didn’t feel up to it.

They saw Daniel’s dad in the airport in NYC. :eyepop: They ended up being on the same flight to Denver as him. Weird coincidence.

They got me a postcard and shirt and something she wouldn’t tell me about. She considered buying me a knockoff Louis Vuitton handbag, but I’m glad she didn’t. I’d feel weird. All the fashion majors at my school have them and it just seems to me like the old junior high thing where you have to buy a certain brand of clothes (even if the clothes are ugly) because it’s a “cool” brand. Louis Vuitton bags aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing things ever, but they’re cool because it’s a brand name. Eeesh. Glad I avoided that.

I have just noticed that on JessicaRabbit’s site, I am being told that I look like a nun. :loco:

I miss Daniel. :tear:
