Finally Some Time To Relax

:note: The B-52’s – “She Brakes for Rainbows”

Today has been filled with a series of wonderful things. I had a meeting with my favorite teacher, deposited a nice sum of money into my bank account, bought some gorgeous yet incredibly cheap yarn that I am going to DO SOMETHING WITH, something cool, I do not know what but I will use it, made homemade ice cream with Daniel, READ A BOOK that was not for class for the first time in god knows how long (with the exception of HP#4 that I read on the train to pass the time), (The Nanny Diaries, if you’re interested), and generally just relaxed.

I had three finals on Monday and two on Tuesday. I work for the rest of the week, but I am done with the school bit. I’m still sort of in shock. It feels like I’ll all of a sudden have five thousand things to do tonight for something important tomorrow.

Has anybody else noticed the huge spike in hiatuses lately? Offhand, I can think of at least four websites that I read regularly that are taking a break. Some of them are only temporary (for a redesign (HI BECCA!) or computer issues (HI ROSEMARIE!)) but others are for an undetermined amount of time, and it sort of makes me sad. I mean, everybody gets burnt out on things, but it seems so odd to me that you wouldn’t just leave your site up in the meantime for people to amuse themselves with. If there is a hiatus to be had, put up a short “I will be gone for X amount of time” notice, and leave the site up!

And now, because I just thought of it, a short list of words I hate:
hiatus, blog, squat, and moist

Do you hate any words? What are they?

P.S. Just re-read this, and I AM SO INCOHERENT. How you (edit: DO. I meant do.) you put up with me?

Haha, I missed your blog. I Like the end and “How you you put up with me,” especially when you’re talking about incoherence.
I definitely know what you mean about hiatuses (seems like that should be pluralized into hiatii). I actually like the word Hiatus though.
Lets see, words I hate. Thats hard, cause I like words. Hm. BRAINFART! I hate that word! Hah! I came up with one! Yee.
