20 Weeks – Thankful

I’ve hit the halfway point! That’s so crazy to me – this whole pregnancy thing is already half over. I’m so thankful that I’ve had very minor complaints so far and I hope to continue to have only minor complaints until the end. (Hey, a girl can dream.)

Daniel finally felt the baby kick once this week! Baby is still super sneaky and will either stop kicking by the time I say anything or will scoot so far down with his feet that he’s just kicking my cervix and not my belly. I’m hoping Daniel will get to feel one of the really jumpy superkicks soon. I can’t predict when they’re going to happen obviously, but I can see my belly move if I’m staring at it when Baby happens to kick like that, so I’m sure they can be felt from the outside.

I’m still so tickled that the baby is a boy like I thought! I can’t wait to buy little sweater vests and hilarious old-man outfits for a tiny baby. Here’s an outfit I bought on Sunday, before we found out:

I couldn’t resist. The EARS! The FEET! The plushy softness! I have no idea what size I should have gotten, since Baby will be born in the spring when it’s not very warm yet, but I grabbed the 3 month size and I’m going to put it on him at least a few times before he grows out of it, even if it’s the wrong season. I might go buy a 9 or 12 month one, so then he can wear it in the wintertime too.

I still need to find a cute “coming home” outfit. There’s a lot of them online but they are either really fussy looking or super expensive. I just want a cute onesie thing, maybe with pants or a onesie with legs, and a cute little hat.

I actually think I look smaller this week, but that might be my bad Photoshop photo editing skillz. I can never tell if I’m making the photos the same size or not. Daniel says he can see a definite change in real life between now and two weeks ago so I don’t think I’m going backwards or anything.
