TGIF

:note: nothing

Huhgghgllgugh.

I’m thinking this “five classes and working part time and doing a 10-hour/week internship and having a bit of a life” thing is not a good plan, if you’re considering it. I hate feeling like I’m always going-going-going. I like having at least one day a week where I can just relax and not think about homework. And granted, I do have the weekends, but since I have no other downtime during the week, it’s the only time I have to do my homework. It’s lame.

I am in need of a watch. The strap on mine broke and it’s not the sort that you can just get new bands for – it’s a cheap-o $6 watch from Walmart. My only real requirements are that it be digital, and able to have an alarm. (Side note: I just went to Amazon.com and typed in “digital watch,” and burst out laughing because I thought about the Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy and how they talk about humans being obsessed with digital watches.) I’m currently looking at this one.

Daniel and I are going out for coffee/chai/whatever, so I will cut this short. Oh, just one more thing, what’s a reasonable price for a simple, layered haircut? Is a place that starts at $35 or $40 too expensive? I don’t know anything about this salon stuff.

Well the Timex should keep on ticking through whatever. On the haircut- I have haircut phobia, so the only way I usually go is off recomendation basis only (i.e. I love the person’s hair so I go to their stylist). Anyways $35-40 is average for a really talented stylist in a nice salon.

Hm. Well thanks for your help – I’ve really only been to sort of cheap salons (ie, a school of hair design and Fantastic Sam’s, around $20 for cut & style both) so I really have no basis for comparison.

Also, I’m sort of nervous asking random people where they get their hair done – I’m not very, um, style conscious. I’d feel awkward. I did look online and found some places I’d think about going, and that’s what their prices were. They all had great reviews though, so it seems like it’d be worth the money.
