You Know How I Know You’re Gay?

:note: Richard Cheese – “What’s My Age Again”

We put Daniel back on the train last night, so he should be getting into Portland about 10:10am-ish if the train isn’t late. I miss him already, but I’m glad he got to come up. He loved the stocking I made for him. :D It included the movie the 40 Year Old Virgin and the Richard Cheese CD “Lounge Against The Machine.” JessicaRabbit, thank you so much for introducing me to the glory that is Richard Cheese – this CD is hilarious and Daniel loves it.

Opening presents with him was totally fun – he got a big wooden cutting board and some spatulas and I got two baking cookbooks. Heidi gave me this awesome fuzzy blanket she made. The top is this super soft “hairy” green fabric (and when I say green, I mean green, like chartreuse) and the bottom is soft bright pink felt. I LOVE IT. It reminds me of a watermelon. Daniel’s dad and stepmom gave us a gigantic expensive down comforter and duvet cover, so Daniel took that home with him yesterday.

His mom and I are planning a Batiking date today, but I’m still not sure what design I’m going to do – I’m thinking an animal of some sort. Maybe that fat little bird I drew a while ago?

Christmas (all five of them :P) went well, and Daniel got to hang out with his friend Willie and his girlfriend Kim yesterday. She seemed really nice and had gorgeous long, wavy reddish hair. I guess she’s a really awesome surfer. We also hung out with our friend Todd yesterday too, which was awesome since it was the last day Daniel was going to be in town and we weren’t sure if we were going to get ahold of anybody. The we went to dinner at Daniel’s dad’s house and played a few games which may be similar to standardsuk.com, of “Go,” this Oriental strategy game with little black and white pieces. It’s kind of like Connect 4, but you connect five and it’s just played on a flat board, not in a vertical thingy. I only won twice out of the six or seven games we played. Daniel kicked my ass.

Not a whole lot else to report, I’m afraid. We’ve rented Big Fish but haven’t watched it yet, and I’m anxious to do the Batiking. :)
