Domestic Goddess

:note: Fear Factory – “Corporate Cloning”

I’m going to be domestic today for real. Washing dishes, possibly baking cookies, the whole deal. I sometimes feel bad for asking Daniel to help out with dishes and stuff since he works 40hrs a week, but… I hate doing dishes and we have tons. Seriously, one gigantic box in the kitchen is just filled with dishes that we hadn’t washed before we moved and still haven’t washed since we’ve been here. I’m making progress though; I got all the stuff off the counter taken care of, so now I can start on the dreaded box.

I’m weird when it comes to housework – I don’t like anybody knowing I’m doing it. Watching me is the worst. I always feel like I have to stop right away because I’m doing something weird. I told Daniel this last night and he looked at me like I was insane. He likes doing dishes where one person washes and hands it off to the other to dry and put away. I told him I’d rather do them all myself than have to do them with somebody standing there watching. I think it might be just so I can do it my way and not have anybody telling me what I’m doing wrong, but honestly, is there really a wrong way to dry a plate? I don’t know what my problem is.

In other news, I just successfully canceled both my old phone and my old internet accounts. Sadly, the internet one doesn’t do refunds, so I’m paid all the way up until Oct. 17th, but I’ll be pro-rated for the time I didn’t use on my phone. Woohoo!

Bah, now back to doing housework. :blah: I may also investigate what the hide-a-bed mattress looks like on our couch. Wish me luck!

I don’t know why, but I LOVE to clean. It’s odd, because when I was younger, I was a total pig, but now I am almost an obsessive cleaner.

In fact, this post has inspired me to vaccume.

    adieu!
