Bits and Pieces

:note: nothing

My brother’s prom night was (I think) last weekend, and my mom just emailed me some photos of him in his tuxedo. I uploaded them and made a set of the photos, in case anybody’s interested. He, um, likes trucks.

Prom 2006

Daniel found the new Type O Negative DVD Symphony For The Devil for cheap today! I haven’t watched it yet but I’m really excited. I’ve heard it’s very good. Live footage and interviews and whatnot.

I entered a “design a t-shirt” contest at school. I could win either Macromedia Suite 8 or Adobe CS2 – the grand prize winner gets to pick and the runner up gets whatever is left over. I think only four other people entered, so we’ll see how it goes. I’m really not expecting to get anything because I didn’t try very hard, but it would be awesome.

I got an invitation to my bestest cousin Kalena‘s college graduation, along with a photo of her. I’m sad that I won’t be able to go; I missed her high school graduation because it was during finals week my senior year and I just couldn’t miss school. This time around, it’s basically because I don’t have the money. She lives in California, so I’d have to fly down. I’m also going to miss another cousin’s (Kelsie) high school graduation for pretty much the same reason. :( Lame-o. I will be going to my brother’s though, I got my train tickets in the mail already.

Daniel has gotten really into Manowar lately and runs around the apartment singing in a falsetto voice about metal and spikes and he makes funny poses. It’s really quite amusing.

Bowling tonight was a bit lame – both games I thought I was doing pretty well, but I ended up with a 90 and then an 87. I really thought I did better on the second game, but I guess not. I managed one strike the whole night, which was pretty good for me. My bowling names were Tits of Metal (a Manowar reference), Metallurbia (inside joke), and I Kill Your Face (Manowar reference). So nothing too horrible this time. If you want to add some spice in your bowling matches, you can place a bet on UFA redeem points.

How was your Monday? And Tuesday?

Aww, your brother looks so young and innocent in his tux, heh.

Hey, you did just as well on your last bowling game as I did in mine. Why don’t you live in California? We’d be perfect bowling buddies! ;p

My Tuesday was odd. And long.

If we ever end up hanging out, we will definitely have to go bowling together because I totally agree, we would be great bowling buddies.

Uh, Manowar. That’s.. urgh. Dreadful band, really really dreadful. But well, they’ve perfected “posing”. That’s all they can do actually. Posing and being evil and being true and being true-evil-böse.

Manowar are always good for some jokes among Metalheads, hehe ;)

Manowar are basically one of the coolest bands to ever exist. Musically the albums are great. The lyrics/vocals on the other hand are hilariously outrageous, which is why I’m such a huge fan I guess. Remember, “The call of Metal summons us tonight!”
