In Which I Bore You All To Death

:note: Storm – “Mellom Bakkar Og Berg”

It’s so hot here. It’s horrible. It’s not just the normal “it’s a hot day” kind of hot, but a gross, muggy kind of hot. Portland is never like this. Ugh. We’ve been lounging around in our underwear with all the fans on trying not to move very much. :faint:

I worked on some homework today (branding/identity stuff, bleh) and knitted a bit on a scarf. I found a plugin that tracks progress on things, so I thought, “What the heck” and added it. Now you can see how far along I am on my knitting! Things will progress slowly, I can assure you of that. It’ll be a row here and a row there while I have a break from school and homework. Maybe it will motivate me to finish some things. :D

I also modified some other site stuff: I messed with the login section on the left there and copied the “remember me” box from the wp-login page because I know it’s a hassle to constantly log in. I think it works okay. Doesn’t look as stupid/misaligned as before, but I still (for the life of me) cannot get rid of that idiotic list bullet. (Just dawned on me – is it one of those pre things that adds content before a link? Or is it actually a list bullet?) Either way, it won’t go away.

I got rid of the “view all quotes” link because it just takes you back to a layout from a billion months ago and do you really need to look at all my quotes? If you want it back, it’s easy enough, but I don’t think anybody used it anyway so it’s gone. And then, like I mentioned before, I added the progress bars. They might stay or they might go away, depending on if I think I can actually get anything “extra” done this term.

You can see pictures of the piggy I knitted over break on my Flickr account. I don’t have any photos yet of my other projects. I may start a new one here in a minute though, because somebody gave me a fabulous idea for a project that I don’t want to share just yet. But it will be neat.

Cute plugin, where did you get it? :) [BTW, what colour is the scarf you’re making?]

It’s called ProgressFly, and you can customize all the colors and whatnot. I like it.

The scarf is a blue-ish green color, sort of similar to the color of my sidebars here. But darker. The yarn is some chenille that I got at a thrift store, so the scarf is only going to be as long as the skein of yarn allows. It’s just sort of a practice project, but I like it because it knits fast – the chenille is thick and I’m using US size 15 needles (HUGE).
