I'd say to buy in newborn or 0-3 months sizes. But when you get something you really like, buy a size up since they go through the sizes so quickly. Also, most baby clothes in stores are 100% cotton and will shrink down. I know that I bought 0-3 month onesies and then ran them through the wash, so now they fit newborn size.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! More than halfway there. =D

When I was pregnant, I bought a few things but I knew I was going to get a lot of clothes at my shower so I didn't go overboard. And don't bother buying a lot of newborn clothes, they grow out of those in a blink of an eye (if they even fit in the first place!).

Another glucose test? Yuck! I only had one and I hated every minute of it. It's torture that they are making you go through another one. If you passed the first one, I'm sure you'll do find on the second!

Thanks for the advice, ladies! I finally gave in and just bought some stuff (at Hanna Andersson and Target) and tried to hazard a guess at what might fit in the right season. Target had a bunch of baby clearance items so I grabbed some cute things for cheap.

BreAnna, I LOOOOVE those BabyLegs things! I have a bunch of them on my registry but I haven't bought any yet.

It seems like time is going by fast for me too, to be honest. Like, I swear I just started out! But no! Apparently I am over halfway and am almost in the 3rd trimester! I think it might be because I'm doing weekly updates and weeks go by pretty fast - if I were saving it for monthly I think it'd feel like longer of a wait.

I was worried about clothing, too. After the baby shower, we had SO MUCH and in every size imaginable. All of the newborn and 0-3 stuff looked so small so I took a variety of outfits in varying sizes with me to the hospital. Turns out, my baby only fit into the smallest of the small stuff. Some brands in newborn size are STILL too small for him and he's almost 3 weeks old. I guess baby clothing sizing is the same as for women - it makes no sense! My baby has been sitting around in onesies and little T-shirts for 3 weeks now and I'm sick of it! There are so many cute things he has to wear, but nothing fits! We have so much winter stuff that I have a feeling will never be worn because he won't be in even a 0-3 size until after winter! I can't wait until he grows!

And I'm with Jem - your pregnancy seems to be progressing so much more quickly than mine did!

I can't believe you're 25 weeks! I know people have probably said this to you already and you're all like "bah, it's going slow for me" because that's how I was, but your pregnancy totally feels like it's going way faster than mine did. Hello Jem, physical impossibility :p

With regards to clothes, just make sure you have a couple of both newborn and 0-3 month sizes because you can never be sure what size baby you're going to have (even growth scans have been inaccurate before!) Also, be careful because I've found that some 0-3 months sizing is smaller than others, depending entirely on the shop.

Anyway, I'm dressing Isabel in the simple stuff for as long as possible because you don't want extra clothes getting in the way when they've done a huuuuuge poo and it's leaking everywhere (ps. if you're thinking of breastfeeding, BF poos are QUITE RUNNY; advance warning!) So it's vests and sleepsuits for her. I know terms differ between US and UK, so here's what I mean:

vest - http://bit.ly/8aQmhR
sleepsuit - http://bit.ly/6Q1AXG

OK, that's enough rambling for one day :D
