Daniel’s video game
I just had a revelation. I was looking at my stats for today, and um, the visitor number was rather low. Low, as in yesterday’s was about 9.5 times higher than today’s. I sat here, wondering what to talk about and was trying not to think of the fact that nobody visited today and then it hit me! FEEDS! RSS! If I don’t have a new entry, it won’t show up on the feed thingies. I’m still a little unclear as to why you want a feed reader thing, but I guess it’s so you don’t have to check a site all the time to look for a new entry – you just wait until your feed says there’s a new entry and that’s when you show up. Yes? So I think that’s why. This is probably all very obvious to lots of you, but since I don’t use feed readers it didn’t hit me until just now.
I went to a meeting today about this year’s annual Web Raising and I missed the first 15-20 minutes or so since I was in work. When I finally walked in, everyone cheered! I was like, “Heh, nice to see you all!” Cracked me up. I’m apparently the only person this time around who has actually done it before, so it should be interesting. I hope they don’t give me too much responsibility. I’m already avoiding everything as it is. Fortunately, it’s only one day long, so it’s not like I’ll have any homework from it or anything.
