Daniel’s 21st birthday is tomorrow (the 7th) and so his sister Heidi and I planned this elaborate scheme to get her down here to Portland to visit. I sent Daniel to a Starbucks yesterday morning because that’s what time her train would get in, and I gave her directions on how to get to said Starbucks. It went awesomely and they found each other and Daniel wasn’t expecting it at all. She’s here until Wednesday afternoon.

My 10 page paper was due this afternoon, so um, I got an hour of sleep last night. But we watched a movie called “Blow Up” in class, and I was convinced that the main guy was the same guy who played Dildano in Barbarella, which is only the greatest movie to ever come out of the 60s. Turns out I was right.

We went to Voodoo Doughnut tonight and got some delicious doughnuts to share. I’m currently eyeing the frosted one covered in Tang powder and filled with mango jelly. Mmm. :cheer:

Eyeball seems to be improving, but still looks disconcerting. Dreaded work this morning but did okay; only one person shrieked. A few others shyly asked what happened to my eye. I tried to only look to the left – it looks way worse if I look to the right.

Planning on shopping all day tomorrow, because well, that’s what we do when Heidi’s around. I may end up with some new clothes. Not that I really have a lot of money to spend, but I need new clothes. I’m like the only person I know who didn’t get a tax return, mostly because I don’t make nearly enough money to even have to pay taxes, but it still sucks.
